Has anyone changed broken 1/4 glass 85 coupe? plastic is cracked, have other good plastic frame damaged? not gt fastback, coupe! [This message has been edited by Wayne Renninger (edited 08-07-2021).]

Sail panels yes or buy reproductions. You will spider web crack them taking them off an old car unless you saw out glue carefully with wire or chain blade from a plumbing shop. [This message has been edited by Australian (edited 08-07-2021).]

The early Fiero coupes came with glass sail panels while the later ones used a plastic panel. In both cases the frame was always plastic. I don't see anyway to remove the plastic sail panel and use it on another frame without scarring it. The early glass panel should be able to be removed using 3M adhesive remover. To rebuild goo frames, he Fiero Store sells nice repro sail panel inserts. ------------------

85 to 88 coupes have what appears to be an acrylic sail panel, bendable to some degree, in a plastic frame and are interchangeable.
84 coupes have a glass sail panel in a plastic frame and the inside dimension of the frame is different than 85-88 however the whole assembly will fit any year coupe..
The frames are different and the leading edge of the glass sail panel is 3/8" inch shorter than the plastic sail panel. 14" versus 14-3/8".
I just measured them. Hope this helps.
