Fuel pressure pegulator replacement (Page 1/1)

I am replacing the fuel pressure regulator on my 87 GT with a new AC Delco unit. When I removed the old unit there were no O-rings on the fuel rail or on the old regulator but the new one has O-rings in the box. Am I missing something? Does the regulator require O-rings?

Remove the top plenum, to gain access the fuel pressure regulator. Remove the 12 or so hex screws. The regulator then comes right off the fuel rail. Put regulator in the same position as the old one, replace and hand tighten the screws. Then put the top plenum back on using a new gasket and you're done. The O rings are not needed unless you remove the fuel and return lines from the rail.
