Attaching gas hoses after dropping tank to replace fuel pump 88 formula (Page 1/1)

Good afternoon I have successfully dropped the gas tank and replaced fuel pump in my formula and I was looking to put the gas tank back in its place and hook up the gas hoses but it looks tricky and one of the sending units hoses attached to the car is very short and hard to reach and get it on. Is there any tips someone has because I am lost and I do not know how I am going to get all of those hoses attached with the gas tank in place because the hose is too short to attach it when the tank is not in place. Thanks guys.

Have you removed the heat shield (held on with four screws) located near the back of the tank? Doing so allows plenty of room to reach everything.

I'm not aware of any tips or tricks.... I wish I did though. You might be able to leave the tank loose and slide it towards the front of the car, but at best you might gain a half-inch of room there for your fingers but like you said, the hoses quickly will become too short. I think the best way to remove and re-attach them is just to jam your fingers up there and get it done. Start with the top hose - the EVAP hose if I remember right - and work your way down. The supply and return lines are easier.
