2-wire connector at radio? (Page 1/1)

This is probably a simple question for the old-timers to answer, but since I'm not there yet... The factory radio wiring in all 3 of our Fiero's has 2 connectors: one for power, ground, memory, speaker outputs, etc; and the other is just a 2-wire connector with a brown and an orange wire in it. What is/was this connector for? I'm prepared to believe the brown would be for running/park lights, so it would be for panel illumination, if I'm not mistaken. But the orange? Key-on power, constant power, or something else? All the cars have aftermarket stereos installed, but not by me. That will change soon. Thanks in advance - Chris
