4.9 caddy. is a 91 caddy 4t60 transmission a "direct swap" to where a th125 was ? (besides the vacuum line needed for the modulator?) Mounts ?? Axles??

Axles and mounts are different.
Vacuum port for the modulator is on the 4.9 throttle body.
You may or may not have to put a relay on the TCC brake switch to make the TC operate correctly.

The 4T60E is perfect for the 4.9 - and about the same amount of work as the 4T60.......

You will need an early model 440t4 or 4t60 governor cap for the speedometer to work. That part is the hardest to find.

Caution with a Caddy transmission count the number of pins on the plug if it is 5 you are good if it is 7 it will not work.

wouldn't a 7 pin be a 4t60E ?

I was not aware that a 91 Caddy was even available with a regular 4T60. I thought they were all 4T60E (or F7, in the case of the Allante.)

could be mistaken on the year of the trans. 4t60 no "E"

Gotcha. Might be an 89 or 90.
FWIW, I think the 3.4 DOHC also came with a 4T60, at least several years into the '90s. Came with an overall FDR of 3.42, IIRC. Not that that would be useful, in your case, if you're sure it was sourced from a Caddy.
