Found unconnected wires in engine bay (Page 1/1) |

Hey everyone found these wires disconnected in the left side of my engine bay in my 84 with ac (no compressor tho) any pointers to what they are for? Can't see anything to plug them into. ------------------ 84 stock :(

Pretty sure the bottom one is for the fan switch. Has your rad fan been wired to run continuously (or not at all)?

It doesn't run at all... I looked for the switch and it's there but it's already plugged into by another wire... i don't know where to go from here

The flat 2 pin connector looks like what would be going to a AC compressor clutch The other 2 are both what would be going to pressure sensors on the back side of a AC compressor. Your car must not have AC, but was wired for it.

It has ac but no compressor, it was taken out by PO. Thanks! That clears it up ------------------ 84 stock :(

They are definitely the AC wiring. I just finished a total rebuild of my engine and rear suspension and although my '88 GT had AC originally, I did not put the old compressor back in. I may do a conversion from the old R12 system later, but for now, I just taped up these connectors and zip tied them out of the way.
