Is ther a new clutch arm sold for 87 fiero gts? the fiero store has them but for the 4 , or will they work on the v6 too? thanks

They are pretty good at identifying items that have multiple applications. It probably won't work on the Getrag. What's the issue with yours?

The P22 lists two different part numbers for the Isuzu and the Getrag.
The Getrag (MT2) P/N is 14105798
|

thanks , , the problem that i have is that the clutch slave runs out of travel just enough to not fully disengage the clutch because the arm socket is wore down to much , or is ther a way to adjust the slave for a little wear?

How much travel do you get out of the pushrod on the slave?

even if it would fit your car, it would be a lot of work, make darn sure there is no air in the line, your clutch pedal isn't bent, your floor mat isn't the problem, the clutch MC ...
heck, if the problem is wear in the arm, which I doubt, that means there is slop between slave and the arm, I'd look at just getting a longer pin made

I have seen some exploded views of the transmission clutch release arm and some show a tiny plastic insert that fits into the end of the release arm. I suppose that's something of a bushing. However, I have never encountered a release arm that actually had that plastic bushing.
Check your release arm to be sure the pinch bolt is still in place and is tight. The arm fits on the splined transmission shaft in a very limited position, but if it's been able to slip just one tooth, it might cause some major problems. I find it very odd that the slave could extend to its full travel unless something on the transmission end is amiss. Clutch fork arm is bent or broken or problems with the pressure plate. Also, inspect the bracket that the slave is mounted on. There may be some cracks in it or it's loose. The 4-speed slave brackets were known for that, but I never heard of it happening to a Getrag mount, though there's always a first.

olejoedad asked the correct question. Too little extension of the slave rod CANNOT be corrected with a longer rod. You almost certainly need to get Rodney's slave!
Searching on clutch does not release will turn up dozens and dozens of threads on the subject....the only common solutions are a bent clutch pedal, the banjo on the pedal rod installed upside down, inadequate bleeding (usually the wrong method), or a bad slave cylinder.
Rodney's slave cylinder ( http://rodneydickman.com/pr...o.php?products_id=66 )was the only thing that fixed the clutch in my '88 GT!
If I were you I would measure how much the slave rod extends (I no certain of the minimum necessary, but I THINK it is 3/4"). If it is less than that, then I would check for a bent pedal, an upside down banjo and if neither are bad, buy a new slave (you WILL need one eventually!
