No continuity on high pressure ac plug? (Page 1/1)
Xenoblast OCT 19, 09:16 PM
I am changing out the compressor, and I am also changing the pressure sensors. I have both of the grounds for the plugs running to the lower ac bracket. The low pressure switch reads continuity between the two pins (32.5 ohms of resistance), but the high pressure plug doesnt read anything. I am just wondering if this is normal or not.

Are you checking the switches or the connectors? The switches should be the opposite of what you describe. What part numbers are the switches you're using?

I am checking the connectors, the ac compressor is not yet installed and I am wiring it up first.

I have a blue one, which is part #mt0447,
and a brown one which i think is part #mt0501 based on research

Seems like even though the part number is different the blue one opens and closes at the same pressure. I am gonna to have to buy a new low pressure switch though.

it was a mistake to expect autozone to give me the right ones i guess.
