NO Highest Fan Blower Speed! (Page 1/1)

From the "Now what"? files...

Today NO Highest Fan Blower Speed! I have the 3 medium/lower speeds but but highest speed is gone. Nothing. Is it a relay for high sped fan? If so where? Thx.

Relay in front on heat/ac "box."

In my case, it was a bad socket (or at least the contact in the socket.)
Be careful.. you can find the (supposedly) exact replacement socket on Amazon or eBay, but it will come with much smaller wires. Will probably burn out (or burn up) in short order.
I ended up stealing a socket and the associated wires from an old harness.

Yes there is one.
I would check the relay.

There are two of them, IIRC. They're in the front compartment, near the washer fluid reservoir. (The relays look just like the fuel pump and A/C relays that are in the back.)
I think that one is for the washer pump (that one is easy to identify, since the pump is right there) and the other is for the high speed fan setting.
Look for the socket with the large red and purple wires. One of those, on my car, is the one that had the compromised connector.
