Floor pan of trunk (Page 1/1)

Hey all!!! I'M BAAAAAAACK!!!!

I originally had an 86 GT that I sold back in 2008... well the itch just never stopped. I just got another 86 GT that I plan to work on over this winter.

So, FIRST question... (I know I'll be bugging you guys for awhile).

Seller gave me a replacement carpet for the trunk, as the the original had a big oblong hole cut out of it for some reason. When I went to pull the carpet out to replace it with the new one (The old one was wet on the bottom), I noticed that a piece was missing from the trunk floor...
It wasn't a rust hole or anything, but it looks like a purposeful oblong hole in the bottom of the trunk that's missing a plate or plug or something,
I don't have a pic right now but does anyone know where I can get another piece to fill this 'hole' , or even what this part # is?
No wonder the carpet was wet....

Cheers, (and SOOOOO happy to be back)

I have the plate that snaps into that hole, but one of the lock tabs is broken off. If you are interested in trying to repair it, it is yours for the postage.

Or should be easy enough to find in a pick your part junkyard. Something like that would never be taken so 99 percent chance if the yard has a Fiero of any year they'll have that piece still.

Thanks guys for the help! I figured it was a piece missing and I've been trying to find a boneyard that still has a Fiero in it... seems like none around here do. Most guys around here buy the parts cars themselves then part them out.
I have all winter to find it... just wondering if it was a common part to lose, or if was in any way still available to pick up online.
Cheers!
