Fiero Gt areodynamics (Page 1/1)

I pose a question, and source imformation too.
Not speculation, but real world done or proof.
Aerodynamic only, not how it got there.
At 100-200 mph, how does the GTbody do?
Read about headlights popping up a d things. But is there a speed where the body shape becomes a problem? I would see a front spoiler helping.
Beyond that, since the ferrari bodies like an F40 kit , or 308 , is shaped for speed, use one of those to stay on the ground.
This question is posed for educational , and entertainment purposes onĺy.

The front of the Fiero GT is actually one of the best shapes on any car, ever. The only change needed to make it (Almost) perfect is a vent for the radiator air. The back end is bad though; That vertical rear window with the deck just behind it is an absolute train-wreck....Not only drag, but the vacuum behind the rear window is on top of the decklid, creating lift....A fastback conversion will make a huge difference...But you also need to address the air in the engine compartment- it needs to be vented to the rear.

Most of the Italian, etc kit car conversions do not address these problems properly; The 308/Mera conversion has the front fender-vents, but they appear to be non-functional....I always liked the Miura, which has the fastback rear window(Basically), but the front is not good since all of the air hitting below the top of the front-end is rammed under the car, creating lift.

Yes, aside from the headlight issue, they are at least decent for that period, though not as good as many of today's cars.

One of my modern street cars chose styling over aerodynamics and they top out around 155. My other modern sports car gets to 170+ due to superior aerodynamics and there is no huge difference between them in power.
