Six pack hood scoop fitment on the decklid (Page 1/1)
gatorfrey DEC 16, 10:59 AM
I was wondering if those who have done it, had clearance issues when the decklid is fully open.
It looks larger/taller than the mustang scoop.
The rear of the decklid, and back glass looks like it would be close.
If there are fitment issues, I will go with the mustang scoop, as the two are the only ones that interest me.

The Mustang scoop is only about 1 1/2" high at the front open area. That should not interfere with the opening of the deck lid.

I should have been clearer.
I know the mustang scoop has no real fitment issues.
It's the 6 pack scoop I would rather try, but if it hits when open, then I will use the stang scoop.
Glassing and painting is enough for that.

GATORFREY,

You could always mount the scoop to the engine like a 'shaker' hood, the way Rockcrawl did his: http://www.nathanbittinger....ieroaddiction/shaker

scroll down a bit to the scoop.

If I misunderstood, please post a pic of the scoop you are interested in using!

I messaged Arn who just sold his car. I'll let you know his response. Here was his car:

Just received a message from Arn who said it did not hit the window. He had no issues with his six pack scoop.

Thank you !
It should get windy in there with a pair of IMSA side scoops, huh ?

Arn actually installed a cooling fan in his scoop. The IMSA scoops should be great.
