I see that the GM 3.0 or 3.6 V6 engine is considered by some for a Fiero engine swap. I am considering such a swap for my 1988 Chrysler Conquest maybe using either engine. What I am hoping is that some of you folks have done research on these two engines and can help to enlighten me.
My first question is what are the overall engine dimensions for either the 3.0 or 3.6? Are the dimensions the same for both engines?
Is the 3.0 sturdy enough to survive a moderate turbo boost?
I believe both engines in stock form use the same manual 6spd transmission? What max horsepower will this trans handle?
Any tips on finding a 3.0/3.6 guru? I assume somewhere there is a following for these engines for performance and engine swaps? I have found very little information on them other than what GM offers in their sales literature, WIKI has some good info but is incomplete concerning hi-performance applications.
