84 Alternator Bolt replacement+ prevention (Page 1/1)

On my 84 Duke I had had problems with constant alternator belt squeal, no matter how much I tightened up the top bracket. I recently realized that the bottom bracket bolt was entirely missing, and filled in with what I had at the moment. I recently realized that bolt was barely hanging in there - but still holding it in- it doesn't want to come out.
What's the best way to go about replacing this bolt, I have a slightly longer replacement but otherwise the same dimensions. Best way to get it in there and get it to stay in would be good. Thinking some washers if it's too long and a lock washer to hold the nut in place. Thanks!

Big bolt and flange nut clamps the alt so along w/ small bolt can't move.

Replacing bolt nut or both must = same.

Likely have hard time finding the nut. Use washer and Nyloc nut.
Or go to junk yard and get OE hardware.

W/ OE hardware... Could drill a small hole in bolt then use wire so if nut even gets loose a of wire will it on the bolt.
But I don't remember if bolt is Class 10.9 etc... Harden bolt is hard to drill.
