Buncha folks running around with no spedo because of these missing gears and how rare they are. I have a Green, Blue, and Red gear all from manuals. I have thought about scanning them at the library to get a 3d print template, also creating molds with epoxy resin. The problem is transmission temperature...how hot do they get? Extruder temp for most filaments is 210-240c....which is 464f I would think it would never get that hot. Can a 3d printer even print at that fine a resolution? The teeth are very fine. It would also need to be printed with 100% fill I would imagine.
Is a material available for either method that can withstand whatever temp the tranny gets?
I have been darn lucky and came across two VSS at the junkyard, and one purchased here.
I am willing to do the legwork for the community if we can come up with a viable solution. Anyone have a high quality 3d scanner at home or work?

IIRC, the VSS not only feeds the speedometer signal it also sends a signal to the ECM that influences engine timing . ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
