Brake Bleeders (Page 1/1)

I'm trying to get my head around this. I have an 88 coupe. I replaced the front calipers with rebuilt units. I sent my rear calipers off and had them rebuilt since no one keeps them in stock. I bought a set of Russell Speed Bleeders (M10x1.5). They fit the fronts but the rears are a smaller thread. I'm thinking the rebuilder may have put in inserts? Anyone else run into this?

Does your normal hardware to connect your lines fit? That would be the determining factor for sure.

Correct P/N for Russell Speed bleeders is 639580 and they are 10 mm x1.530 size. It does sound like the rebuilder used a thread insert on the brake bleeder threads. It is common for the stock steel bleeders to strip out and a thread replacement insert is used.
