Don't have any actual wheel ideas, but; Remember to go with the lightest wheels and tires you can find- unsprung weight has a much greater affect on performance. A 40 lb increase in unsprung/wheel weight will have the same affect as 200 lbs added to the body/chassis.

I went to new wheels and tires back around 2011.....Dropped 6 lbs off each front and 3 lbs off each rear. The car felt like a new car.

My new 16 x 7s weighed 13.5 lbs each- there are some 16 x 7s that weigh over 24 lbs.

Also tires; I used to use BFG Comp TAs....Switched to General G-Max tires; Approx' 2 lb lighter for the same up front (205/55) and 4 lbs light for the rear (225/55) (And they are cheaper)

Obviously, this all depends on whether you drive the car or just show the car.

thanks do remember the backspace needed and the widths again thanks for your inputs

What I have found with aftermarket wheels these days is the offset is close to the same from front to rear.
Even the 88 Fieros are lumped in with the earlier years and lists the same wheels not seeming to realize that the
88s have a wider track in the front thus needing about a 42mm in the front and a 35mm in the rear depending on the width of the wheel.
I have remedied this by using a 45mm in the rear with a 10mm spacer and longer studs bringing it to 35mm offset.

Thanks very much that is exactly what I needed to know now to pick a diameter width and design thanks again

I should have mentioned the spacer-in-the-back situation....

More inward offset up front will help with steering effort and also steering kick-back....But the offset also depends on the width tires you are going for, and you have to clear suspension/chassis...while turning the wheels.

Keep in mind that the Fiero is a (Relatively) light car.....A comparison with the new C8 Vette; The C8 weighs 3500-3600 lbs...the Fiero is between 2600-2800 lbs. Lets go with 2800 vs 3600....That is a ratio of 1.28:1....So my car has 205 (8") width tires up front...that would equal 265 width tires on the Vette....My rears are 225 (8.8") which would equal 290 width on the Vette.....So, basically, don't go overboard on width to the point where you compromise the feel and performance of your car.
