does anyone know what I need to do, or who to send my PCM to, for 2005 cars? Seems all the info I find is for 97 PCMs. Do I need to program it or will it just work?

The 05 Impala L67 may have a "drive by wire" setup but probably not. I would check that before moving forward. I changed my 06 L32 DBW operation to the cable operated throttle body last used on the 03 L67/L32 models but you could wire it for DBW but it is a bit more complex procedure. Be advised if you go automatic for DBW you will need an 03-07 4T65eHD transmission.
