Gas tank baffle (Page 1/1) TXGOOD MAR 31, 11:56 AM Has anyone else had this problem? I have had a problem with fuel delivery on my 3800 swap a couple of times the last three months and last Saturday it left me stranded. The other times I just shut the car off and then it would start but not the other day. I pulled the tank and my baffle in my tank had broke free and is just sort of laying in there. I noticed that the sock on the fuel pump had a very distinct deposit right around the fuel pump inlet so I’m thinking that a couple of times the baffle moved to where it smashed up into the sock interrupting fuel flow. I have another tank with a good baffle in it that I’m going to install but I think I will put a piece of thin metal that will keep the sock from getting squeezed between the baffle and the fuel pump inlet if this baffle should ever happen to come loose.
