Hello all guys!

I am trying to remove the entire box from the hot and cold air system.
I remember from many years ago, I saw in this forum a step by step on how to remove it. But as much as I search, I can't find the post.

I have found the post of cleaning the evaporation system, very gpood posted!!

Step 1: Remove Fiero

I think it was the first part they put in the car. You have to take out EVERYTHING.

Just Why do you want this?
Most cleaning jobs don't need that big headache.

Damn near...

You have to remove the entire dash to remove inner heat/ac box.
that means gauge set and shifter trim and radio trim.
speakers
then dash.

If careful the console skeleton bend just a little to release two "tabs" that goes into dash "slots."

then the heater/ac box.

Even when you know where all the screws are, can take 1-2 days just to get apart then reinstall.

Is why most just remove r-side speaker to get top of 4 screws for heater core work.
I would do that first and use cheap bore scope.
Can stuff scope in low outlets to look inside too. Maybe vents and Defog out too if very small scope.
Many bore scopes are USB uses Android and/or Windows devices to display. Just watch USB end so won't twist up the cable or wreck the device port.

I did most of this job to for 2 cars replace "Cross car" harness to install PW and even that is a headache...
I just stuff the wires under the dash to add OE footlights later because didn't want that job again.

Great day today...
Thanks for the tips and instructions. They are correct. First create box air and then Fiero.

The main reason to remove the box is to leave the car as clean as possible after a rodent episode. I had clear suspicions that there was a large colony.
I had the whole gear lever full of "**** ". Then, surprise, the whole pilot's side, full...

I am quite curious and between the cables and the central beam, I could imagine that it would be full again......

I decided to do the cleaning work on the radiator and see how everything was inside... so I took off the front cover.

Hi guys.

The tubes are literally welded together, so I cut them open and I can make new ones. a pile of remains ready to burn.

I decided to take everything out to clean everything very well, to be sure that there is no intoxication. so once I was able to get the whole box out... a lot more **** .

I am happy because I have removed everything. Now I can focus on cleaning and decontaminating the entire interior of the car freely. I commented that there was a lot of damage to the wiring, but after analyzing everything, this is much better than I expected. I'll fix some of them.

And also important, clean the entire system, repair and change all non-existent rubbers and foams.
reason. to make it safe to breathe.

Now it's time to work slowly and carefully. clean all the **** , dust rat, sanitize, repair, soundproof, ride again.

Hope you worn a real N95 or better mask while cleaning... Mice/Rats are Known Carriers for Rotovirus and worse killing people for Centuries.
Mask stops larger crap that virus/germs stick to. Some "germs" and spores go Dormant in various ways and stay that way for Many Years.

Pull gas pedal and clean that too while easy to get at.
⚠️ Warning: If some fool put "oil" on that, is likely bad or going bad because oil and dirt it holds eat the pedal and/or plastic "bearing" bolted to firewall.
