Power Window regulator wheels (Page 1/1)

Hey all... quick question..

In the process of fixing my power window issue in my 86GT. Problem was after I did the dew wipes the passenger side window would stop halfway.... I figured that the wipes were 'too tight' against the glass, but decided I would replace the Powerr window motors anyway since I have both doors wide open.

Anyway, I pulled out the regulator from the passenger side, and noticed that two of the rollers were very tight, and would barely roll. I tried to lube htem with White Lithium grease abut they were still really tight.

So, I ordered a couple repair kits (Dorman Part# 74430) and got them the other day. Seems they won't work though, as they are smaller than the originals, and I wanted to pop off the wheels and press them onto the old studs, but they appear to be too small.

Is this common for these rollers to be so tight? Lithium Grease isn't helping....

Ideas?

Cheers,

PK
