87 gt door skin (Page 1/1) tazome APR 23, 03:51 PM Hey dose anybody know if the top of the door skin towards the middle seems have movement were it attaches to the top of the door frame by the dew wipes, just a little in an out movement. is this normal? the drivers side seems to by much tighter then the passanger side.? thanks for any help Gall757 APR 24, 04:04 PM I'd guess it's normal. Maybe a little bend in the sheet metal here and there and you could make both sides the same, but these cars were built with lots of variation, especially the door assemblies. tazome APR 27, 12:53 AM yes i think your right . I took the door skin off using a post someone had done on here , it was a very helpfull . but i noticed that ther was no broken parts. it just hooks over the door frame not very snug fitting but i think over time the plastic skin might have got distorted a bit , i used a piece of ruber door edge protector on the door frame where the skin slips over an it made it much more snug lol
