5 speed 4 cylinder shift movement not smooth (Page 1/1) cajunfiero APR 30, 02:30 PM i have an 85 4cylinder with 5 speed Isuzu trans. when i drive the car the shifting movement is not smooth and gets notchy and rough at times. i took some of the shift brackets off to inspect and saw this worn area on the lever that is used in shifting. is this normal appearance or is this worn and needs to be replaced? here is a photo of the transmission with the bracket circled and then another photo of my actual bracket so you can see the worn shaft lever.
