new headliner problem (Page 1/1)

Put a new headliner in 84 with sunroof, screwed up the back side, to short by 1/2 inch.Does anyone have a sollution for a wider molding to cover that up? I know it won't be stock but the headliner board was in bad shape and I tried to save it . I glued the material really well and couldn't stretch it enough. Help! Thanks

I used a thicker foam backing and glued it to the foam then used suede liner and glued it alt together with heat rated glues both spray on and paint on for all the backings there was foam between the layers which disintegrates making the material sag down. If it really is even shorter use a thick foam.

Why not cut a small strip of material and glue it to the end. If you are careful it will be hardly noticed.
