Hello my name is Richard I am new to this forum I recently purchased an 85 Fiero that was made into a Lamborghini Diablo kit car the car came with a series 1 3800 V6 non-supercharge which was seized we removed the engine and transmission I replaced it with a 2000 series two supercharged 3800 out of a Buick Park Avenue ultra everything is installed all cables are hooked up but my dilemma is the wiring harness and computer I did keep the computer and harness that came with the engine it is still attached to the engine now like most people my question is how do I get this car to run Iโ€™m not worried about the gauge is working at this point I just want to be able to start the car and drive it down the street I live in San Fernando Valley 91367 ZIP Code if thereโ€™s anyone that knows how to do this I will be happy to pay them if they are close by otherwise any info would help thank you

Th ECM and the PCM's used on the series 1 vs series 2/3 engine are entirely different. The wiring harnesses are not anywhere near similar. For the series 2 a suitable wiring harness must be constructed and the PCM reprogrammed to eliminate the VAT's

Hi there.
Go to GM Tuners website (Darth Fiero). Download the pinout list applicable to your motor.
Use the pinout list and make up your wiring harness, connecting into the Fiero harness and connectors where necessary.
It can take time, but Darth's pinouts are great and will get the job done. One wire at a time!

If you can build a harness thats fine. If not there are some here like olejoedad that can make you a harness. If you maintain the power center (fuse box) of the Grand Prix and hook battery power feed to it, you can use the 3800SC series 2 harness with about seven connections to power, ground, ignition, rad cooling fan, and a few other items. It might not be the neatest way but it works.

Rocco, since you live in the People's Republic of California, I was wondering on how you plan to pass smog? If your car was already CARB certified with the Series 1 motor seems like the Series 2 will raise some flags, no?
