Exploded diagrams WITH PART NUMBERS ? (Page 1/1)
ArthurPeale JUN 07, 12:19 PM
Just like the subject says - where can I find exploded diagrams with GM part numbers?

the service manual only has the exploded part, not the part numbers

I can Google individual parts to find them that way, but that's tedious. Is there one put-together tome?

Is Not Complete and Poorly scanned so can't read many PN or whole lines.
This pirate CD was Sold thru Ebay etc decades ago and doesn't have whole sections of info.
Most other PDF copies are same but ripped out fake no copy pages.

Even if you find a real copy...
1. Many PN have change over the years way before GM stopped making most parts. So P/N there may not show anywhere.
2. Many parts are Wrong... Examples:
87-88 vac line parts for brake booster is bigger and no data for this in 22P or FSM. Only ACDelco does list correct booster check valve that takes 1/2" hose.
Radiator Cap is wrong too because someone at GM just copy/past from another book and didn't bother to check. Then All Parts Stores have same error unless sell Stant and have current Stant "book." (See my Cave, Radiator Caps)

It may not be complete or 100% accurate but it's a lot better than nothing. I've used it a lot to answer questions that I have about how something is assembled.

You can also check out this GM parts retailer: https://www.gmpartsstore.com

For many (not all) of the parts look up, they'll show the diagram with a number, and in their listing below it have the number with the description. It's been helpful for me in the past.

I've used it, but sometimes I can't find part numbers for things that have been long discontinued.

I was looking for the part number for the spring perch in the hopes that a longer search might yield me something over time. We'll see.

Got it.

To make sure we are talking about the same thing, do you mean the "spring hat"?

Or another part?

No, that's it, I'm hoping to find a NOS one

Okay, there are two parts to that:

GM called that part the "seat" which is 10026721 and the performance package (?) had a ring on top of the strut tower (I guess instead of the three metal tabs?) and that part number appears to be 10064980.

Parts numbered 12 and 13 on this page.

Yes they are discontinued/not available through that site, but now you have the part numbers to do some hunting with.
