Loose window; found spring on floor of door (Page 1/1)

Hello everyone! Ever since I had my Fiero the drivers door made a pretty annoying rattle and the window would “flop” in and out. The window actually led to an improper seal. I just started a new job and have a bunch more free time. Because of this, I decided to take a swing and fix it. When I popped off the outer skin, I saw this on the floor of the door panel. I’m pretty sure this is the cause of at least the rattle, but would this also be the cause for the loose window? I also looked at the rollers and they look a bit worse for wear but I honestly don’t have a lot of experience in the area. I’ve attached images of the mechanism and the roller of note. Thanks beforehand!

That spring goes right here. The problem is that your spring has the center piece broken off that fits into the slot on the pin.

Here's another pic:

Awesome, thank you. I was doing some more research and found that. Would that cause the window to wobble back and forth or is that more of an issue with the roller?

Someone else may need to chime in but I believe usually the felt window guides are worn out. Also when they wear out, you run the risk of scratching the glass every time you raise and lower the window.
