I'm looking for the name of this part. It is part of the horn assembly. Mine is brittle and cracked. Thanks

I don't see it listed in your cave.

Anyone else know the name?

I believe it is the turn signal cancel cam.

Supposedly this one fits even though it says that it is not for the Fiero. Many people have used it with no issues.

That's what I was going to say. I used a Dorman in mine no problem.

Also, Rockauto has them; though quite a bit more expensive: https://www.rockauto.com/en...turn+signal+cam,1572

Edit to say that there's apparently two types - one for tilt steering column, and one not. The two above are for tilt.

Parts

There are many parts for the column available via the GM dealer network. My feeling is that if you have to go to that much trouble, it's easier to just get a good column.

The following parts for the column are confirmed available thru MotorMite's HELP! Series.

Thanks everyone for their help. I'll order the one from Amazon and let you know how I make out.

Yes, please. I broke mine the other day, and was trying to figure out where to get a replacement.
snyderman JUN 23, 02:53 PM
The amazon part from Dorman is the right replacement part. I looks exactly like the original. The Dorman part was installed with the white plunger cylinder at around the 10 o'clock location as per my memory and photos I've viewed online, but I can't get the horn to honk unless I cross a screwdriver from the center steering shaft to the round metal button on the right side of the assembly (see photo). My only thought as to why it won't work is that I installed the Dorman piece at the wrong angle on the steering column or the spring I'm using in the cylinder is not OEM.

Can any one help me diagnose this? I'm sooo close to getting my steering wheel back on.

Well after waiting for assistance for a few days, I took another stab at it on my own and discovered that the part I bought from Dorman was not exactlt the same OEM part as it was not deep enough for the brass ring to contact the brass button shown earlier in my post with an arrow. I ended up taking the brass ring off the broken one and added it on top of the new Dorman and it now works fine.

Hope this helps someone else.
