Hi, All,

I had a truly wonderful "how to drop the fuel tank" thread with pics saved in my favorites. Now, of course, it is lost. Could some kind soul please give me a link to the best step-by-step guide to dropping the tank?

TIA,

Warm Regards, and stay safe and healthy!

⚠️ Any video or thread for Fuel system repair/restore "may not apply" to a given Fiero.
More so if one is 84-86 and other is 87-88.

Example: Dropping 87-88 tank, most of work is done under the car expect "pop" the plug to tank near bulkheads "seals" for all wires and pull off 1 vent hose.

You need room to work under and depending on many things can be hard to "jack up" and be safe. Some highlights, See my Cave, Safe Jacking

for some issues I recently had...

"Directions" May even change for V6 and 4cyl...
Example: V6 have a "pulsator" to prevent problems because of higher pressure from F-pump but 4cyl don't.
Many V6 replacement F-pumps don't need them because different pump design.

Thank you both!

I had completely forgotten about Andy's Garage on YouTube. Andy’s Garage: Episode - 342 is for an '88, gives tool lists and socket sizes, and has great video!

Next I will be posting for someone on Long Island, NY who wants some cash to remove and replace my tank so I can get it flushed, POR'd, etc.

Thanks again,

Stay well, happy and ahead of inflation,

Larry
