Possible Axle Seal Leak (Page 1/1)

Just wanted some quick clarification on the axle seals.

I have an '88 2.5 5-speed and went though the fun process of removing the axle seals and driving in new ones. I put the axles back in and filled the tranny with pennzoil synchromesh. It sat that was while I worked on the engine and I checked on it periodically for leaks/dripping and it seemed dry.

Last week I took a look at the passengers side axle seal from underneath and noticed a tiny bit of moisture buildup which I can only assume is oil. Haven't noticed any sort of dripping yet but this "leak" is confusing me. I read the Ogre's write up on Axles and saw the part about putting some sealer or rtv around the outside of the seal to fill any scarring in case where it mates with the seal. But given where the oil is seeping out of on mine, would that remedy apply here? Or is this an issue with the seal against the axle shaft? Should I replace the seal or am I just overreacting?

Below I've (hopefully) provided some screenshots from a video I took when I first noticed the buildup.
