I have a question...maybe silly but does anyone know if the 84 flexible circuit board is interchangeable with an 85 if I switch the gauges from the 85 into the 84 board? My 85 the flexible circuit board is bad, and parts of the gauge cluster are not working...and the only one I've found in a junk yard is out of an 84.

I think they are interchangeable, but it should be easy enough to just do a visual compare.

I have only found two different flex circuit part designs.

There is a part number on the flex circuit. Check if the 84 flex has the same part number as the one you have.

I have 2 on the shelf 84 & later. Both flex circuits on the back look the same. I thought they would be different since the front view is definitely different.

mncolia, what color is your interior? If it's brown, I can drop a mint 84 instrument pod on you. As I recall it only has either 60K+ or 80K+ miles. I also have other interior parts like the manual shift surround and the dash. I won't ship the dash, though. All in very, very good condition.
