Pre 88 cradle and Suspension into an 88 (Page 1/1)

No I have not totally lost it yet. I'm asking for a friend

Would a complete pre 88 cradle and suspension bolt into an 88 and work for roller purposes? Anyone done it? Im thinking maybe if you use the 88 struts because you would end up with clearance issues on the strut tower of the 88?

If you swap the springs and strut hats then you can put it together enough to make it roll some. Just make sure to bolt the wheel bearings together (where the cv spline & nut would normally go) or they will separate from rolling.

Easy way is to just weld some long bolts to and piece of angle, weld the angle to the bottom of the cradle, then mount some small wheels (like lawn tractor wheels/tires) to roll it around.
Here is the one I have.
