Okay here’s my problem I have a 1985 Fiero GT it has a 2000 Buick Park Ave. ultra series 2 3800 engine and automatic transmission installed with a custom wire harness that was done and the original computer was reprogrammed I put the key in the ignition and I start the car it fires right up and then dies after a second or two the guy that reprogrammed the computer I cannot get a hold of anymore I have been told it’s the VATS security system that has not been disabled if there could be some other reason please let me know because this is making me crazy I actually saw two gray hairs pop out on my head yesterday it is getting 50 psi fuel pressure to the rail I know that’s not the problem I am just assuming it’s the security system so I’m not sure if I need to send the unit back out to somebody or just purchase one that has been already programmed or someone said to get the bypass for the security system but I don’t know where to hook up the bypass on the fiero if I knew where to hook up the bypass on the Fiero I would at least start there thanks for the help .

Sounds like the VATS has not been disabled in the PCM.

You need to contact Sinister Performance in Indiana and have the PCM properly reprogrammed.

It also wouldn't hurt to have the harness checked over, if your vendor botched the PCM reprogramming, there may be a problem with the harness as well.

Please take note of the use of individual sentences and proper punctuation in my reply.
You might want to try using that in your future postings as well.

It makes it easier for the rest of us to read your posts and offer some helpful advice.

Good luck getting your problem ironed out.

And quit growing gray hairs!

My MAF sensor would cause that. It would get dirty because of a custom intake and air filter not working very well. Try taking out you MAF sensor and spraying it with MAF cleaner.
