I don’t think it’s getting fuel. I can start it with starter fluid. It runs for a few seconds and dies. I’ve tried changing the fuel filter and I swapped the ac relay with the fuel pump relay. I hear a buzz but it sounds more like a hum to me but I don’t hear a click that I’ve read about here.

On the 2.8, it's so easy to check the fuel pressure.

Thanks Patrick, I just watched a YouTube vid on how to check the fuel pressure. Question: I have a pressure gage, can I just use that or is there something special about a fuel pressure gage?

How does it connect? On the 2.8 there's a fitting on the fuel rail right up by the intake that looks like a tire valve (with a cap on it). A fuel pressure tester just screws onto there.

What I was asking is if I could use a compression gage -used to check cylinder pressure by removing a spark plug. I’ll just by another item -that I’ll probably never use again.

Hey IMSa GT, can you do me a favor and post a pic of the area I’ve circled? I know I don’t have the correct hose connection but have never found a good reference photo

This is the vacuum routing for the 2.8. This was drawn by one of our members, Buddycraig to make it easier.
This is another picture but with a stainless steel line upgrade.
