Hi all, I’ve been fighting my 88 formula to get better than 11 mpg for awhile now. I started getting a check engine light after about 20 minutes of driving, code was 32 egr system. I found that the vacuum line on the egr solenoid (the short one that does a loop) was disconnected and fixed it with a zip tie for the time being. My question is will this help my MPG? After this i plan on trying a 02 sensor but other than that I'm at a loss. Thanks for the help.

When the car is warm and idling, what is the engine rpm? Is it high or normal?

Warm it will idle at 900 rpm while fluctuating slightly (50 rpm up and down or so).

That low make sure you don't have a small fuel leak.
Put 12v on ALDL G to run the pump when under the car to watch feed and return lines.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)
