Aftermarket Seats in a Fiero? (Page 1/1)
Bladerunner AUG 04, 02:46 PM
It's not often I see aftermarket seats in a Fiero. It looks like most people just recover the factory seats. What is the width between the center console and door? If you have aftermarket seats in your Fiero, can you post pictures here?

Thanks

I pm’d you a response to this, as I don’t know how to post pictures on the site. The seats are 19 wide at the hip, and 21 inches wide at the shoulder. I will send pics to your email if I have it. Steve

There's a gray 'button' below the box you type in that says Upload Media. Click that and you can load pictures from your computer or phone.

I am trying this for the first time- let’s hope they work!. The seats are MOMO, and came with red fabric covers. I had leather put on them years ago. 19inches wide at the hip, 21 inches wide at the shoulder. As the car is now a replica F40, the console is custom, so I can’t recall if it is wider than the stock one; which would have a bearing on width clearance for the seat.

You probably don't see a lot of aftermarket seats, because of the cramped interior in the Fiero. The stock seats are pretty small. And you can't go much bigger than that.

That said, I was able to fit Corbeau Forza seats in my Fiero... but just barely. They are 20" wide at the hips, and 23" at the shoulders. The shoulder bolsters were almost touching the door panels.

The seat height was also a concern. With the sliders and Corbeau seat brackets, the seats almost touched the headliner. So I made custom seat brackets, to bring them down.

I don't have many photos. The ones I do have are old and low-res. (I don't have the Fiero anymore)

i put C5 vette seats in my 88. Used stock Fiero rails, and only had to drill two new holes in the bottom of each seat, and two new holes in each frame rail. Bolted right in.
