| Looking for a replacement for 88 brake Master cylinder (Page 1/3) |

I am trying to fix a spungie brake pedal that just won't bleed out. Kinda feels like the pedal sinks slowly as I hold pressure on it. No leaking fluid anywhere. The master cylinder has been changed at some time because it is cast iron, which makes me wonder if it is even an 88 replacement?
Can't find one at the parts store, so I am looking for a replacement.

Cast = not Fiero...
88 MC is very Hard to impossible to get and why other thread tries to find alternates.
use search to just set 60 days or more on index.------------------

Also have to check if rest of brakes are 88 Fiero.

The calipers are, but the rotors are Vette.

Advanced Auto Parts shows a Brake Master Cylinder for 1988 Fiero....Remanufactured, for $52....

Fiero Hub has a nice page that shows what other cars' parts will interchange in the Fiero. Might want to give that a look. I plan to print it off so I have it in hard copy before the Chi-Coms get here and destroy our infrastructure!

Many Web stores list parts but is not available there too.
Don't Trust AZ etc Web Sites telling a part can get thru local stores.
If a store order from the web site isn't ready to pickup same or next day, expect to have to cancel.------------------
