Front right caster way off (Page 1/1)

I got an alignment, and my front right caster came out to -0.1 degrees, which it should be more like 5 degrees. I know the washers all need to total 12mm, what angle could I get if I put all the washers on one side? If I cant get to 5 degrees, would it be better to just get it as close as possible, or reduce the degrees on the left side so that they are about the same?

maybe you have a bend control arm on that side?

That could be, There is an 85 fiero se in a junkyard next to me, I could steal from that if needed.

I set the caster to basically max positive caster on the right, and it pulls a lot less to the right but it still pulls. I might try and reduce caster on the left until it goes straight.

What confuses me is that the right side had no adjustment washers in it at all when I tore it apart (and it didnt pull that much), maybe the PO bent the control arm by torquing it on without the spacers in.

That, bad bushing(s), bad ball joint(s) or the frame and/or cross-member have damage hitting something.

Don't trust most shops to find what's wrong. Many just try to follow Bear etc alignment machines and often fail even that.

Right side not only hits pot holes but often curbs and worse bending 1 or both CA and more. So replacing a CA often isn't only thing cause a huge alignment error.
