Malfunction Flags Meaning from ALDL Data (Page 1/1)
Romsk AUG 24, 11:47 AM
Hi all!

Ok, I have a good understanding on how to interpret the raw ALDL Data words into units that are clear to understand.
I also have a good understanding of each Error Code.

I am down to just a few bits in the 3 Malfunction Words and 2 MCU I/O Words that I have no definition on what they are for:

Malfunction Word 2, Bit 1 =
Malfunction Word 3, Bit 1 =
MCU I/O Word 1, Bit 3 =
MCU I/O Word 2, Bit 4 =
MCU I/O Word 2, Bit 6 =
MCU I/O Word 2, Bit 7 =

For example, among the other Flags (bits) that I do understand, I am getting MCU I/O Word 1, Bit 3 (W15_B3? see image below) from my 1987 Fiero GT V6 2.8L with A/C.
I have no idea what that bit (flag) means. Does anyone know?

Here is a screen shot of my Fiero ALDL Monitor Tool that I am developing. I have set all the Words to 0xFF (255) just to show what bits I understand, and the bits I don't know circled in red. Note the bits names like: W12_B1? is my name because I don't know that they mean (I had to have a name as place holder).

Does anyone have a definition these bits in these ALDL data words?

Thanks.
