ECM differences? (Page 1/1)

I have two ECM units. One for an 84 4 cylinder and another for an 85 4 cylinder. Is there a difference between these two units? i wasn't sure if these were interchangeable and could be swapped without a problem.

Is there a typo in your question? Same year and same engine. The only differences in what you posted would be if one was from an automatic and the other a manual transmission.

They are different PN and don't know if PROM in them play w/ each other.

Example: PROM is program for AT TCC Locking or MT Shift Light for 1 pin on ECM. Has other things too AT or MT. Or Different data maps even w/ 3 types of MT econ 4, perf 4 and 5 speeds.

Here's a link with ECM info that may or may not be helpful... https://www.fiero.nl/forum/...m2/HTML/140672.html.
