I have a 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT with V6
and i am changing the lower control arm bushings and running into two different parts references
One parts source says the bushings on the lower front control arm are the same frontward and rearward
and another parts sources says the two on the lower control arm are different frontward and rearward
but when I asked then what the specifications for the two different ones that give only one set of specs
.481 I.D
1.614 O.D
2.339 Length
.567 Wall Thickness
Could someone help clear this up please
thank you in advance

Isn't the size is different.
Moog Rear bushing and maybe others can have different rubber shape to stop the car better. See my Cave, Suspension Parts
Front LCA had both OE and some aftermarket bushing the same as the Moog front.
Moog fixes alignment changes when you stop the car because OE bushing allows braking force to move the LCA a little more. Moog usually have same data/directions in the box because many would install them "wrong" because both will fit either hole.
Moog discontinued many Fiero parts but still find them at some stores or ebay.

I appreciate the suggestion of the poly bushings
We put them on my son's restoration project car
I really though would want a quiet smooth ride more than a bit more flex in handling
it is not going to be a track car and at my age I am not sure I would be driving it in a way that would allow me to see the difference
another way of saying not sure I am going to be taking the handling to the extreme limits often if at all
It is my understanding that the poly bushings dont flex but transmit not and vibration to the car and interior etc
again would like the most quiet and smooth that I can have as it was from the factory oem
feedback or suggestions welcome

I recently purchased the Moog lower control arm bushings and the front & rear bushings appear different. One has a smooth rubber surface on the bushing and the other has a star shape with some dots on it. It's quite obvious on the Moogs, other brands I don't know.
