I've got what should be a really simple question, but I can't find an answer on the net or in the service manual. I have an 88 4 cylinder automatic. It's been a part time project for several years and I recently put the engine back in. I replaced a lot of vacuum hoses because they were aged and now can't confirm where they should be reinstalled. There are four hose connections on the base of the throttle body and, per the diagram on the trunk, they go to the EGR valve, the MAP sensor and two lines to the Evap cannister/cruise control. However the diagram shows four connections in a row and the actual connectors are more of a staggered square configuration. I checked with a vacuum gauge and two top connections have no vacuum and the two lower have about 17 inches of vacuum.
If I put them on in the approximate order shown on the diagram, the hose sizes don't seem to match, the MAP ends up connected to a vacuum connection and it idles at 2500 rpm. Can someone quickly confirm which hose goes to which connection?

Sorry I do not have the 88 diagram, but this may help a bit. It is for 84 to 86 Dukes.

I've seen the 84-86 diagram but the 88 has different connections and orientation. I'm guessing it's one off like so many things on the 88.

That's exactly what the sticker under the trunk lid shows. Unfortunately, If you hook the MAP sensor to the rightmost connection (which is a vacuum connection on the lower pair of connections), it idles at 2500 rpm. I'm concluding that the picture doesn't reflect the physical arrangement of connections or there is something wrong with my car. Does anyone have a 88 4 cylinder to look at the actual connection arrangement?
