Getting ready to bleed the brakes on a 85 GT. All new calipers, SS lines, hoses. I did not change the master. The issue is when I put in fluid and slowly pushed the pedal down I could see a fluid fountain shooting up from the rear tank……to me this doesn’t seem right.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That's what they do.
Keep the lid on the reservoir.
