I was looking around my engine bay, and noticed a threaded hole in the top of my transmission with no bolt. I kindof think it's always been like that. Should there be a bolt here? Should it be holding something down?

Mine is also like that. Something probably goes there on another application
Also: your lower intake is blue?

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm glad to know mine isn't the only one with the missing bolt. I agree though, it's all pretty grimey, maybe someday I'll try and clean it up a bit.
Regarding the blue, yes, it's the engine itself that's blue. I wonder if it came blue from the factory, or if it was done by a previous owner, I'll likely never know.
Have a great weekend -==- Nick

This engine setup doesn't use that hole.
Trans and Engine has several bolt holes that use or ignore depending on Model Year and more. ------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)
