2006 SC 3800 ecu (Page 1/1)

I have an 84 Fiero with a swapped 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix 3800 SC engine and trans, I purchased a swap specialties wiring harness, that came incomplete, I found 2 wires in the wrong place, 1 wire being an injector wire, the other wire unknown, I can do a full write of the tune on the ECU and the car will start and run, if I shut it off for 20-30 seconds it will not restart, question is, is there some kind of wire that I am missing or possibly pinned in the wrong place for the ECU to retain a tune? Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated, I've been struggling with this for over a year.

You need to identify that unknown wire for sure, find the pinout for your ecm and trace the wire from whatever end its connected to. Pink is 12v hot and orange os the switched feed. My pcm had a 12v pink on both the blue and clear connectors, those are for memory. After you shut it off and it wont restart, verify the tune you burned onto the pcm is still the same. If its changed, one of the chips in the pcm may be going out. Then try to figure out why the motor wont fire, either the spark or fuel is getting cut. Starting fluid will let you know who quickly. Good luck!

I am using a drive by wire throttle from an 06 Grand Prix, does anybody have a wire diagram or pinout for the wiring that goes to the stock Fiero bulkhead connector, the company I bought my wire harness from was supposed to completely wire their harness for the Fiero bulkhead, but did not.

I keep forgetting to mention that I am using a stand alone harness, not sure if that makes a difference.

As long as its wired correctly, type of harness doesnt matter. Your pinout is somewhere on this website
https://app.chiltonlibrary.com/home

Thats where I found the pinout for mine, real PITA to find tho. I eventually found mine by going to connector end views, finding the pcm connector, and there was a link to the pinout. Tried looking for yours, couldnt find it. Howd you program your own pcm?

Which connector diagram, the stock ECM pinout? Let me know which one you need.

So, possibly a dumb question, is the C-203 connector used when using a stand alone harness? If it is used what wires and where do they go? Unfortunately my harness did not come with the C-500 bulkhead plug attached either. the only wire currently connected to the 203 connector is for the check engine light. Am I missing some serious connections?

We have been using HP Tuners to unlock VATS and basic tune so far.

All the c203 and c500 hookups are in the white pic I posted above, you need to go thru each wire and see what you need, fomd, and connect everything. I was too cheap to get hp tuners, I was trying w pcmhammer and lsdroid but got stuck on the seed key algo.
