Good Day! Regarding a 1986 Fiero GT, kindly advise if it will accommodate 17 inch wheels or any other wheel size. Thanks everyone for your time.

Yes. the ideal wheel size, if you want to be able to rotate your tires is 17x7, ~35mm offset, and 225/45-17 tires on all 4 corners.
If you want them staggered, go with 17x8, 235/45-17 on the rear, and 17x7, 215/45-17 on the front. 35mm offset on all. (These sizes are also very similar to the diameter of the stock tires, so your speedo should still be reasonably accurate.)
You can go larger, but this seems to be the best compromise, IMHO. This is a very common wheel size/offset. The first gen VW New Beetle uses the same size, bolt pattern, and offset.
Others may have different suggestions, and that's okay, too. Mine is very "safe and mainstream".
