The series III 3800SC swap has been done many times, but mostly using a series II PCM, cable throttle body and a LS1 or LQ1 MAF. The drive by wire swap has also been done but the programming becomes more difficult as the traction control features must be disabled. I prefer the simple approach as I did not want to introduce the slight throttle lag of the accelerator pedal sensor into my swap. If you use the DBW approach and the swap is stock then very little tuning will be required. I can't say that with my setup.------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
