Hey everybody it's been a while since I've reached out, but I have some questions regarding wiring aftermarket gauges into the stock dash wiring.
I'm doing a replica, and I need to find out the wiring diagram how the easiest way to wire and install the gauges using the cluster bezel from a real f355. I have a new set of universal gauges, and think that maybe the easiest thing to wire the indicator lights would be directly to solder them to where the light sockets already are in the Fiero bezel.
Does anybody have an aftermarket plug or something that I can use to wire in the rest such as the senders etc? Any ideas on wiring diagrams in general other than this flat piece of plastic that has all the solder lines in it? I did get the senders that are appropriate also.
Thanks for any help
Dave

Hello Dave. This is something I just did for my GT40 replica. I had to read the schematics for the car, a 1988, and the instructions for the gauges to determine what to connect. You will need to have the schematics for your car and the instructions from the gauges I'd be glad to help you, PM me your email address . Rick

PISA has or did have a connection harness designed to allow the use of VDO gauges with minimal effort. I think that this was a couple of hundred dollars but it has been a few years since I saw this set up.

If you do not plan on going back to stock, I would just recommend cutting the stock Fiero connector off and just wiring straight to the gauges. I believe most have done it this way as the Fiero connector leaves a lot to be desired.

It looks like there are three different plugs. I can solder the indicator lights right to the light sockets on the front bezel part no problem. They should work just straight through it?
The issue that I'm wondering though is that this circuit board looks like there's a lot more wires than just a couple of plugs that are coming into it?
The speedometer is GPS, so the other gauges I guess I will need to have my guy wired direct or figure out a different way for those? Does anyone have the wiring schematic?

I would connect directly to the wires and forget the circuit board. Also some warning lights are switched by - so do not use common grounds on these. Best is to use a service manual to trace and check these connections and which (power) wires are shared.
