Any way to replace D-plates on a GT without taking off entire fastback clip? (Page 1/1)

The D-plates in my GT are ... destroyed. I have a set of replacements. The inside of the Fastback has that large filler insert and obscures a lot of the D-plate at the base. I see there are a few screws at the base, and one plastic stud that I guess is just there for centering/assembly ease?

Before I break anything that I shouldn't, is there a way to remove those inserts so I can get to the D-plates without taking the whole fastback clip off?

If it is possible, any tips, directions, and pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
