Those spider cracks can come back if the cracks aren't completely sanded away even with flex additive.

Feirofool is correct the cracks will return if not sanded out. Or the bumper is striped of paint.

This has been a huge debate over the years but basically most bodyshops and paint centers don't use an additive if they use a urethane clearcoat. The clearcoat has enough flex for daily driving but will still crack and shatter in a hard impact. As mentioned, sand all the existing cracks completely.

Flex additive basically slows down the drying process for the paint so it really never cures 100%. The issue is that it can scratch easier then fully cured clearcoat. The additive only lasts for so many years before it evaporates and the paint fully dries. Then you basically have regular clearcoat on the part. Just make sure the basecoat has a good surface for adhesion and you'll be fine without an additive.

Great info thank fellas! My cuz came over to borrow a tool and I asked him about it. He also said no. I showed him the spider cracks and he said those are from impacts. Ill go without it and see. Just surprised how flexible the body panels are.

Thanks again
